Sleep, good nutrition, exercise, healthy social activities, reflection time, studying, and passionate activities(hobbies) will help you on your journey as an entrepreneur.
Your health is an asset that complements your business
I used to operate under the belief that I had to sacrifice sleep and many of the other lifestyle necessities I just mentioned.
I would say to myself “I don’t have time for that, I have to get shit done”. I went years with little sleep or broken sleep and focused all my time and energy on my clients and my business with very little self-care.
After a few years of operating like this, I did make progress but I also broke my body and mind down in the process. I could have done better if I took care of myself more.

There is a time and place for everything
There are some instances when you have to get things done and you may have to go without sleep, food, social contact, and comfort. However, these periods should only be seasonal.
After your work marathon, you need to go back to your base routine for healthy living. If you don’t have a healthy routine it’s worth your time to create one.
The dangerous part about neglecting your health is the repercussions do not always come right away
I found this out the hard way. After years of grinding and stressing my body and mind started having enough. I was getting migraines sometimes multiple times a week, sometimes I would lose my balance walking around, my immune system was trash, I was having psychological problems, and I was losing muscle mass at a rapid pace.
Just for context, I'm not the average digital entrepreneur. I used to be a competitive runner, I did years of blue collar work(I used to consider myself a paid athlete), I was thorough hiker,
and I train in martial arts.
I’ve been an endurance athlete most of my life. However, what broke me down the most was trading my health for my business. Trading my health for Business was literally killing me slowly.

When I started treating myself better my business got better
When I started taking the time and investing the money into my health I started making better decisions.
This was not an easy process for me, and it's still something I have to monitor. It's tempting for me to work past my own deadlines but, now that I know the “repercussions of sin are death” I take my work cut off times more seriously.

Create discipline in your entrepreneurial life
I set clear times for Myself, my family, and my business
Everyday. I have a cut of time for family and sleep. I know myself well. I have nighttime closing hours when I have to shut off my computers and stop working.
I’ve also set hours on which clients communicate with me, I control the notifications on my phone so I don’t get triggered by messages, on Sundays I do not use my work phone for anything, and many other measures that help keep my mind and body blanched.

Take care if you
Please don’t take your health lightly. Don’t sell your soul to your business. If you lose your business and you lose your health you might lose your life.
If you build yourself and lose your business you can always start over again. If you take care of yourself you will be able to build your business by default. The health routines you build translate to business and life.
